Today, postgraduate study is the preparation of a highly qualified specialist with a system of general cultural and professional competencies, capable and ready to carry out independent professional activities.
In accordance with the Federal Law of the Russian Federation of December 29, 2012 No. 273-FL “On Education in the Russian Federation”, a three-tier system of higher education has been introduced.
Postgraduate studies are the third level of the three-level system of higher education, where the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel is carried out with a period of study:
full-time – 3 years (4 years for the direction «Biological Sciences»);
by correspondence – 4 years (5 years for the direction «Biological Sciences»).
The training of scientific and pedagogical personnel in the postgraduate study of the KubSMU is carried out in the following areas of training:
The listed areas include 45 scientific specialties.
Persons with at least higher education – specialty or master’s degree are admitted to the postgraduate study of the University on a competitive basis. In the scientific areas of the preparation of the clinical profile, persons with at least 3 years of practical work experience are accepted, as well as graduates of clinical residency in the relevant specialties in the year of graduation, subject to the completion of the training plan and successful completion of final exams.
Admission to graduate school is carried out:
– to places within the framework of the target figures for the admission of citizens for training at the expense of budgetary allocations from the federal budget, the budgets of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, local budgets;
– to places under education contracts concluded upon admission to training at the expense of an individual and (or) legal entity.
